Fam. J. Jakobson's Family Foundation Entrepreneurial Award
Since 2012, the Jakobson family has awarded an entrepreneurship prize to high school students in Stockholm. It is important that young people, already at the age of 16-18, are inspired and encouraged to undertake their own projects. It can be a business project or a non-profit organization. The prize has been awarded to many talented young people for projects such as a business venture to sell Indian tea, with the profits going to an orphanage in India, started by Malala Yousafzai, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. Other projects have included selling homemade bread to donate money to children’s hospitals, educating middle school students in economics, and providing homework help for students in collaboration with sports clubs.
To apply for the prize, send a description of your project to info@stipendiet.se. Feel free to visit the family foundation’s website for more information, https://www.jjstiftelse.com/.
