Jonas Jakobson gave a lecture in San Francisco for entrepreneurs and students, organized by Nordic Innovation House and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.

Jonas spoke on the theme “Good Future – the importance of technological and medical innovations for future global growth.”

He shared his entrepreneurial experiences, starting at the age of 17, and his internship on Wall Street. He also discussed how Nordic Equities has been inspired by Stanford University. Jonas reflected on his 20 years of experience as a member of the Stockholm Business School (SBS) advisory board, highlighting how rewarding it is to help and inspire students through lectures and awards.

He also spoke about what they look for when awarding young entrepreneurs through the Jakobson Family Foundation. Jonas emphasized the importance of having both a forward-looking and historical perspective, which is also a key theme in his books From Rome to New York – Investment Perspectives in a Historical Context and Ad Mundum Meliore – Toward a Better World.

Nordic Innovation House is located near the renowned Stanford University, and in the vicinity of companies such as Meta/Facebook, Alphabet/Google, Nvidia, and Apple headquarters.

Stanford is a highly renowned university that has inspired our management strategy. We often visit Arthur J. Bienenstock, Professor Emeritus, member of the American Scientific Committee, and former chair of “The Wallenberg Wing” at Stanford.
