At the invitation of Sweden’s Consul Gudrun Gidding in Los Angeles and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, Nordic Equities’ founder Jonas Jakobson gave a well-attended lecture for investors and entrepreneurs at the Nordic Consulate in Los Angeles.
Jonas spoke on the theme “Good Future” – about the importance of technological and medical innovations for future global growth.
Among other things, Jonas discussed Nordic Equities’ beginnings in 1993 as an advisor to American pension funds and Sovereign Wealth funds, maintaining close ties with Nordic corporate leadership. He also elaborated on Nordic Equities’ selective investment model, “Outside-view,” where the company scans thousands of businesses to find long-term winners. Finally, he emphasized the importance of having a forward-looking but also historical perspective and which industries could become future winners.
Jonas and Nordic Equities were awarded a gold membership in the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the USA as a token of appreciation, which was, of course, a great honor.
Thank you Gudrun Giddings, the Swedish Consulate, and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for a very successful, well-attended, and professional event.
All the questions showed that these were topics of interest to many.
